Summary

DESCRIBES HOW A GAS ENGINE HEAT PUMP PLANT WITH RATED HEAT OUTPUT OF 630 KILOW WAS INSTALLED IN AN OLD PEOPLES' HOME AND EQUIPPED WITH MEASURING INSTRUMENTS. THE PROVIDED LOAD PROFILE OF THE INSTALLATION PREDICTED A HIGH DEGREE OF USE OF THE INSTALLATIONS OWING TO THE HIGH ROOM TEMPERATURES AND THE CONSIDERABLE DEMAND FOR DOMESTIC HOT WATER. THE INITIAL PREDICTIONS ARE BEING COMPARED WITH THE ACTUAL OPERATION. NOTES DISCREPANCIES FOUND TO DATE. GIVES THE RESULTS OF AN ECONOMIC CALCULATION SHOWING THAT THE INSTALLATION IS NOT YET OPERATING ECONOMICALLY.
