Summary
With the goal of achieving an environmentally sensitive health-care facility, the owner of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill., worked closely with the design team and engineer to achieve LEED Gold for its new patient tower. The resulting tower uses recycled materials, features a green roof and includes energy-efficient mechanical systems.
