Summary

A METHOD HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR CRYOPRESERVING OVARIAN TISSUE EMPLOYING CRYOPROTECTANTS AND ULTRALOW TEMPERATURES, THUS RESULTING IN A BANK FOR THE LONG-TERM STORAGE OF THESE TISSUES. ALLOGENIC TRANSPLANTS OF THESE TISSUES PERFORMED ON 159 PATIENTS WAS FOUND TO BE AN EFFECTIVE NON-MEDICAMENTAL TREATMENT OF PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM A HYPOMENSTRUAL SYNDROME AND AMENORRHEA, AS ALSO POST-CASTRATION AND PATHOLOGIC CLIMACTERIC SYNDROMES AND INFERTILITY.
