Summary
The "injection" part of the TTF (Tesla Test Facility) being assembled in Hamburg, Germany, is composed of a main capture cryostat called "Cryocap" containing a single superconducting cavity (1.3 gigahertz, 10 megavolts/minute) operating at 1.8 K. Its development required an auxiliary cryogenic infrastructure with liquid-nitrogen and liquid-helium cooling, which is presented by the author.
