STUDY OF DEWAR MULTI-SHIELD INSULATION SYSTEMS WITHIN 4.2-293 K.

Summary

THE RESULTS OF A STUDY CONDUCTED ON EFFICIENT MULTI-SHIELD INSULATION SYSTEMS COOLED BY VAPORS OF STORED CRYOGENIC LIQUIDS ARE DISCUSSED. THE STRUCTURE OF HEAT LEAKS IN DEWAR VESSELS FOR LIQUID NITROGEN AND HELIUM WITH DIFFERENT NECKS AND TEXTURES OF SUPERINSULATION HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED. FOR THE FIRST TIME, TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCES OF SUPERINSULATION THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY HAVE BEEN MEASURED AT 77-293 K WHEN COOLED BY NITROGEN VAPORS AND AT 4.2-293 K WHEN COOLED BY HELIUM VAPORS.
