Summary

The high level of thermal comfort that is required to create safe driving conditions can be provided by means of a physiologically regulated HVAC system. An air-conditioning system of this kind: increases the climate comfort in the vehicle; increases driving safety; protects (sensitive) eyes and mucous membranes from irritation. The engine-independent air-conditioning system for trucks extends the benefits of thermal comfort to driver rest phases, which play a vital role in road safety.
