Summary
Toronto had developed a plan whereby Lake Ontario will offer a sustainable solution to the city's growing demand for energy. Deep lake cooling is capable of producing 52 000 tons of cooling, enough to serve 20 million sq ft of office and commercial space. The project also provides an improved quality of raw cold water to the city's potable water supply.
