Summary
The aim of the paper was to explore the optimal starting time for defrosting and to set up a simple control. For the defrosting control, two temperature sensors were used to measure the evaporator pinch point. Whatever the surrounding conditions, this pinch point, with reference to a well adapted control algorithm, makes it possible to start the defrosting at optimum intervals, from the energy point of view.
