DEHUMIDIFICATION BETWEEN PARALLEL PLATES.

Summary

AN ITERATIVE TECHNIQUE HAS BEEN USED TO DETERMINE THE HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROP DURING THE DEHUMIDIFICATION OF MOIST AIR FLOWING BETWEEN PARALLEL PLATES. THE RESULTS OF THE ANALYSIS AGREE REASONABLY WELL WITH AVAILABLE EXPERIMENTAL DATA. IT HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED THAT BOTH HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER CAN BE DETERMINED BY A SINGLE PARAMETER WHICH INVOLVES THE FIN-LENGTH AND SPACING, AS WELL AS THE REYNOLDS NUMBER.
