Summary

FROZEN FOODSTUFFS HAVE BECOME AN IMPORTANT ITEM IN THE RETAIL FOOD TRADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA AND THEY REPRESENT 2.39% OF GLOBAL FOOD SALES. IN RETAIL SALE OUTLETS, FROZEN FRUIT APPEAR TO HAVE LOST THEIR SHARE OF THE MARKET AND THE MORE POPULAR SALES ITEMS ARE MIXED FROZEN VEGETABLES, SPINACH, FRENCH FRIES AND SOUP CONCENTRATES. PLANS ARE UNDER WAY TO IMPROVE THE REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT OF RETAIL SALES OUTLETS AND TO OFFER A WIDER VARIETY OF FROZEN FOODS TO CONSUMERS.
