Summary

THE PURPOSE OF THE SURVEY WAS TO COMPARE THE FROZEN FOOD MARKET IN HIGHLY INDUSTRIALIZED COUNTRIES WITH THAT OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA. THE VARIOUS ASPECTS SURVEYED WERE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FROZEN FOOD TRADE, STORAGE CAPACITIES AT RETAILERS, REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT FLEETS, REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT IN RETAIL SALE OUTLETS AND DOMESTIC FREEZERS. THE AUTHOR WAS IMPRESSED WITH ORGANIZATIONAL CONDITIONS IN INDUSTRIALIZED COUNTRIES, VIZ EFFICIENT SALES PROMOTION OF FROZEN FOODS, MORE INSTITUTIONAL CATERING, PRICE BALANCING ACCORDING TO VOLUMES OF SALES AND THE LARGE FROZEN FOOD SALES IN SUPERMARKETS AND DEPARTMENTAL STORES.
