Design and modelling of low-grade heat driven ejector refrigeration machines.

Summary

This paper provides the results of a theoretical study, design and modelling of an ejector refrigeration machine (ERM), driven by low-grade heat from microcogeneration systems. Influence of the cycle operating conditions and introduction of preheater and precooler on ejector and ejector cycle performances is shown. Optimum geometrical characteristics of the ejector and performance characteristics of the ERM have been determined. The obtained data provide necessary information to design high-performance ERMs with cooling capacities up to 100-200 kW for application in micro-trigeneration systems.
