Design and operation of a commercial water-loop heat pump system with a ground-loop heat exchanger.
Author(s) : WOLLER B. E.
Summary
The new HVAC system is the first commercial water-loop heat pump system in the United States using scroll compressors and variable-speed blowers in horizontally mounted heat pumps. This new technology provides a COP as high as 3.6. The paper describes the design and installation of this new heat pump system and gives the actual performance results for its first six months of operation.
