Design and testing of a solid-sorption heat-pump system.
Author(s) : MILES D. J., SHELTON S. V.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper presents recent experimental results from a two-bed system which uses the activated carbon-ammonia sorbent-sorbate pair. Seasonal performance based on this experimental data and computed is presented. In addition, a design optimization methodology is presented. The implications of using the new carbons being developed for methane storage and their effect on the design of the system are discussed.
