Design of an oil-free pump with a negligible internal volume.

Author(s) : OBSIEGER B., OBSIEGER J.

Summary

In comparison to the frequently used volumetric pumps, hydrodynamic pumps are simple and cheap devices which sliding surfaces lubricated directly by the working mixture, regardless of its type. Since the ratio of dimensions of hydrodynamic pumps seriously influences their efficiency, the proposed design is based on criteria of minimal driving power. These pumps can be used for solutions in absorption systems, for instance.
