Author(s) : IIZUKA H.

Summary

IN ORDER TO DEVELOP A WORKING FLUID FOR USE AS AN AIR-COOLED ABSORBENT, THE AUTHORS TOOK THE WORKING FLUID OF THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE SYSTEM, A WATER-COOLED ABSORBENT, AND ADDED ANOTHER INORGANIC SALT, WITH ETHYLENE GLYCOL AS AN ANTI-SOLIDIFICATION ADDITIVE. THE COP OF THE DOUBLE-EFFECT CYCLE CALCULATED FROM THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES IS 1.52 WHEN THE THRESHOLD CRYSTALLIZATION TEMPERATURE IS SET AT 293 K (20 DEG C) AND THE CIRCULATION RATIO IS SET TO 14.2.
