Summary

RESULTS ARE PRESENTED OF AN EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION OF THE NON-EQUILIBRIUM RESISTIVE RESPONSE OF THIN FILMS OF THIS HIGH-TEMPERATURE SEMICONDUCTOR TO LASER RADIATION. A < SHORT > RELAXATION TIME NOT LONGER THAN 10 NANOSECONDS AND A < LONG > RELAXATION TIME LONGER THAN 10 MICROSECONDS RELATED TO THERMAL HEATING OF THE SUPERCONDUCTOR LATTICE CAN BE DISTINGUISHED IN THE RESISTIVE RESPONSE OF THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTOR. THE RELATIVE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE THERMAL AND NON-THERMAL COMPONENTS TO THE RESISTIVE RESPONSE OF THE SUPERCONDUCTOR ARE STUDIED FOR DIFFERENT PARAMETERS OF THE SYSTEM (TEMPERATURE, INTENSITY AND DURATION OF THE LASER PULSES, GEOMETRIC SIZE OF THE SPECIMENS, MAGNITUDE OF THE TRANSPORT CURRENT).
