Summary
For R718-water chillers with compressible, viscous flow in the sucking in area of the compressor, developed at ILK, measurements in an air model and numeric simulation calculations are described. It is shown that the numeric simulation supplies sufficiently exact results for velocities and temperatures, which are necessary e.g. for the sizing of the nozzle and the inlet impeller.
