Summary
Using a void fraction correlation the mass distribution in the two-phase region in the systems is calculated. Based on the steady-state simulation of system, studies the optimal refrigerant charge in air conditioners by integrating and accumulating in sections. Proposes that the charge be taken as optimal when EER is the highest and the design cooling capacity is achieved. The measured conditions of each component fit well with those of the theoretical model.
