Summary

The regulation on the charge limits for flammable refrigerants is an important part of the foreign standards related to refrigeration and air conditioning. On the basis of the review on the regulation on the charge limits for flammable refrigerants in the foreign standards, the methods to provide the charge limits for flammable refrigerants were analyzed in this study. The charge limits for flammable refrigerants can be provided by formulae according to the room floor area, maximum charge values, or leakage limits. These methods may be useful for us to provide the charge limits for flammable refrigerants in China.
