Summary
The authors have developed a new photovoltaic refrigeration system with cold storage instead of electric storage using batteries. Simulation software has been developed and validated by in situ measurements of the system allowing optimal dimensioning of the photovoltaic elements of the refrigerating unit and the determination of the performance and the behaviour of the energy system for different climatic conditions and a given application.
