Summary
The method of mathematical modeling of refrigerating centrifugal compressors and refrigerating machines based on them, is considered, using the characteristics of model stages. The method was developed in model conditions for wide ranges of conditional Mach numbers and consumptions.
The developed mathematical models allow obtain the dependencies of refrigeration capacity, condenser load and consumed power of centrifugal compressor from evaporation and condensation temperatures, and the dependencies of the same parameters of refrigerating machine from the temperature of coolant going out from evaporator at different temperatures of cooling water going to condenser.
The above method of mathematical modeling had its practical use in the implementation of mass production of refrigeration machines on the basis of centrifugal compressors at compressor works in Kazan; for determination of stages characteristics of full-scale compressor during capacity control; in the development of retrofit methods of the existing refrigerating machines during transition from R12 to R134a; in creating centrifugal compressors of low refrigerating capacity and in developing of new technique, including that on individual orders.
