Development and practical application of a small-size air liquefier.

Summary

To solve scientific and technical problems related with the use of cryogenic temperatures and liquid cryoproducts, a small-size air liquefier (SAL) has been developed. SAL presents a self-contained microcryogenic closed-cycle system providing the atmospheric air liquefaction and its accumulation in a thermally insulated tank. Besides that, it is possible to use SAL for recondensating and returning the evaporative components of liquid cryoproducts to the storage vessel, etc. SAL is based on a Gifford-McMahon expansion machine.
