Summary
The paper presents a high-efficiency 2-cylinder rotary compressor for a residential split air conditioner with R410A. This compressor employs a linked core type concentrated winding DC motor, for the first time in the industry. The motor efficiency is highly improved and seal length and clearances of compression elements are optimized with R410A. Moreover, the authors chose alkylbenzene oil for HFCs. Therefore, it is possible to replace without changing the connect pipe already installed in the previous R22 system.
