Numerical simulation and experimental study of the shut-down and start-up characteristics of a R-410A residential air-conditioner.

Author(s) : REN Y., GUO X., FU W.

Summary

In this paper a dynamic model of the shut-down and start-up characteristics of a R-410A residential air-conditioner is presented. The steady lump parameters model is used to simulate the compressor and the steady distributed parameters model to simulate the capillary tube. For the heat exchangers, the dynamic distributed parameters models are employed. The dynamic evaporating and condensing pressures, air temperatures, refrigeration capacity and COP have been simulated and the experimental study has been conducted in the psychrometric rooms to validate the simulation results. The experimental results are compared with the calculation results to verify the accuracy of the model.
