Summary

The cold chain system in South-East Asia is requiring to maintain freshness of refrigerated or frozen food. In this work, cold roll box (CRB) using phase-change material was developed, and its performance was evaluated by some factors; inner temperature of CRB and time for preserving goods. Keeping time on laboratory tests in Korea was measured that in case of refrigeration, it was about 40 hours and in case of freezing, it was about 20 hours. In the Vietnam test, it was showed over 10 hours under 5°C of goods temperature. In Indonesia, CRB test was processed by two methods; field test in the company same testing condition in Vietnam, and transport of goods by truck. As a result, it could be possible to apply proposed CRB system in South-East Asia.
