Development of absorption heat pump using new working fluid.
Author(s) : NISHIYAMA N., HUJIKURA K., SHITARA A.
Summary
The purpose of this research is to find a new working fluid which has superior characteristics than those lithium bromide solution. The conditions for the new working fluid are, higher solubility, lower viscosity and lower corrosion of metals. From these demands, a new working fluid, which is composed of lithium bromide + lithium iodide + lithium chloride + lithium nitrate, has been selected. An absorption heat pump utilizing treated sewage water for air conditioning was developed. Performance and endurance tests were carried out, and promising results were obtained.
