THE PAPER DISCUSSES THE RESULTS OF A DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM UNDERTAKEN TO PRODUCE A LINE OF ADVANCED GROUND-SOURCE HEAT PUMPS NOW BEING INTRODUCED. THESE ADVANCED UNITS USE SCROLL AND ROTARY COMPRESSORS, VARIABLE SPEED DIRECT CURRENT FAN MOTORS, MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLS, AND ENHANCED HEAT TRANSFER SURFACES TO PROVIDE NEW LEVELS OF COMFORT, EFFICIENCY, AND RELIABILITY.
