Type of article: Article
Summary
Ethanol secondary refrigerant, which consists of an ethanol solution and corrosion inhibitors, has low viscosity and low environmental influence. In this study tests were carried out. As a result it was found that no specific corrosion and seal problems occur for the materials currently used in refrigeration technology. Ethanol secondary refrigerant system was also found to be the most economical system at low temperatures around -35 °C.
