Development of constant curvature surface (CCS) tubes and plates to get high absorption heat transfer.

Summary

If the thickness of absorbing solution liquid layer is not even and has parts that are too thick or too thin, absorption becomes weak; thus, the thickness should be even and well-wetted with an average thickness value. CCS forms an evenly thick layer by the effect of equal surface tension resulting in strong wettability and absorption ability. Through many experiments and by actual absorber tests for more than 15 years, CCS tubes or plates have been shown to be one of the best absorber shapes. In this work, the history and actual CCS tubes and plates in real absorbers are shown.
