Summary

Generally, it is very difficult to evaluate the actual performance of a split air conditioning system??including the gas driven heat pump air conditioning system (hereinafter GHP). It is a matter of urgency to establish the performance evaluation method on the actual condition. Using remote monitoring system and Simple Compressor Curve (hereinafter Simple CC) method, the actual performance is calculated without installation of new instruments. The refrigerant mass flow of the compressor is calculated by the suction density of compressor, displacement of the compressor, the revolution of the compressor and the volumetric efficiency. The remote monitoring system gathers data of the GHP under an actual condition by wireless communication. But the data acquisition method of remote monitoring system is not optimal to calculate the performance, especially in measurement interval. By comparison with the detailed data and remote monitoring data, we clarified the error causes of calculation and developed the correction method of these errors. As the result, we developed the performance evaluation method using the remote monitoring system and the Simple CC method. Programming this method by visual basic for application of Microsoft Excel, the performance evaluation was easily done.
