Performance evaluation using remote monitoring system and compressor curve method for gas engine driven heat pump.

Number: pap. n. 60

Author(s) : NISHIMURA S., KAMETANI S.

Summary

It is very difficult to evaluate an actual performance of a variable refrigerant flow (hereinafter VRF) system including a gas engine driven heat pump air conditioning system (hereinafter GHP). It is a matter of urgency to establish the performance evaluation method on an actual condition. Using a remote monitoring system and Compressor Curve (hereinafter CC) method, the actual performance is calculated without installation of new instruments. The CC method estimates refrigerant mass flow of the compressor which is calculated by the suction density of compressor, displacement of the compressor, the revolution of the compressor and the volumetric efficiency. The remote monitoring system gathers data of the GHP under the actual condition by wireless communication. However the data acquisition method of remote monitoring system is not optimal to calculate the performance, especially in measurement interval. By comparison with the detailed data and remote monitoring data, error causes are clarified and correction methods of these errors are developed. As the result, the performance evaluation method using the remote monitoring system and the CC method was developed.
