Development of fiber-optic refractometer for measuring local concentrations of aqueous lithium bromide solutions.

Summary

The performance of a fiber-optic refractometer for concentration measurement of aqueous lithium bromide solutions at high temperatures and high concentrations and with great accuracy is discussed. The maximum error of a laboratory fiber-optic sensor to measure chemical concentrations in water was shown to be on the average less than more or less 0.1%.
