THE SWISS CONSUMPTION OF FROZEN FOODS INCREASED BY 10.1%, FROM 90.18 MILLION KG IN 1979 TO 99.27 MILLION KG IN 1980, I.E. 14.8% INCREASE PER CAPITA: 14.3 KG IN 1979, 15.8 KG IN 1980. POULTRY AND POTATO PRODUCTS ARE THE MOST WIDELY CONSUMED. ICE CREAM CONSUMPTION, IN SPITE OF AN UNFAVOURABLE SUMMER SEASON, INCREASED BY 4.4% BETWEEN 1979 AND 1980, I.E. FROM 6.6 TO 6.9 L PER CAPITA. THE SALE OF HOUSEHOLD FREEZERS WAS LOWER BY 20% IN 1980, COMPARED TO 1979, BUT THAT OF DUAL TEMPERATURE REFRIGERATORS INCREASED BY ABOUT 10%. G.G.
