Summary

Although heat pump type room air conditioners are being widely used as comfortable cooling/heating equipment, since their heat source is air, their heating capacity and COP decrease as the outdoor temperature drops. This drawback has prevented widespread use of heat pump type room air conditioners in cold climate regions.
