Summary

IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THE GENERAL TENDENCY OF ENERGY CONSERVATION, AIR-TO-AIR HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS WITH INNOVATIVE HIGH EFFICIENCY HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED THROUGH PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE COMPONENTS FOR THE SYSTEM, IE COMPRESSORS AND HEAT EXCHANGERS. AS A RESULT OF THE OPTIMUM COMBINATION OF THESE COMPONENTS, THE COP VALUES OF THE NEWLY-DEVELOPED HEAT PUMP SYSTEM HAVE REACHED APPROXIMATELY 3.0. THIS PAPER DESCRIBES THE PERFORMANCE OF THE IMPROVED COMPRESSORS, HEAT EXCHANGERS AND A PROTOTYPE HEAT PUMP SYSTEM.
