Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
Reports the findings of an evaluation of nine air-conditioning heat pumps. States the units tested had heating outputs from 1.6 to 3.0 kilowatts and their COP varied between 2.0 and 2.7 at an outdoor temperature of 2 deg C. The value of sound power emitted varied between 32 to 55 decibels, depending on the heat pump and fan speed. States that most of the heat pumps has operating problems, mainly connected with incorrect refrigerant charge, refrigerant leakage or defrost system.
