Summary

The paper deals mainly with the technologies which were developed in aiming to recover the efficiency drop resulted from the introduction of an alternative refrigerant. The newly developed compressors have a motor housing that can reduce the suction pressure loss while the motor is cooled down adequately, and they have a pair of asymmetric and non-uniform thickness scroll wraps whose compression efficiency is high.
