Developments with integral refrigerated containers.

Author(s) : BROOKES E. J. N.

Summary

Integral containers continue to provide ever more varied opportunities for the carriage of foodstuffs, increasing consumer choice. The future role of the integral container will be examined in the light of the latest projections on use, utilisation of alternative transport modes, up-coming product carriage requirements, equipment life projections and other relevant factors. The integral container offers the opportunity to protect the cargo from packing to delivery. The paper examines these issues from the shipping line perspective.
