Device for short-term storage and transportation of biological materials.

Summary

The design of a thermoelectric prototype device for short-term storage and transport of biological substances implemented on the basis of a cascade thermoelectric battery is considered. A special feature of the device is the possibility of simultaneous short-term storage and transportation of several types of biological objects having different storage temperatures. Dependences of the temperature change at the control points of the system in time for different values of the TEM supply currents, types of fillers of compartments with biological material and ambient temperatures are presented. It is established that standard thermoelectric modules can be used to organize the required temperature regime for biological material storage. In this case, it is expedient to fill the space of the compartment for storage of biological substance with a high-conductivity filler.
