Direct contact evaporation applied to the generation of ice slurries: modelling and experimental results.

Author(s) : SARI O., EGOLF P. W., ATA-CAESAR D., et al.

Summary

In this paper, the authors propose a simple model of the evaporation of a single refrigerant drop within an immiscible medium and, by applying conservation laws to large ensembles of drops, its application to the design of direct contact heat exchangers for the production of ice slurries.
