District-wide energy system with heat recovery heat pumps.

Author(s) : NARITA K.

Summary

In the highly-developed districts, cooling and heating loads occur simultaneously because of large inner heat gain in well-insulated buildings, and district-wide energy systems which use heat recovery heat pumps work efficiently in these cases. The energy efficiency (total heat quantity used in consumer side/energy consumption in a primary energy base) reaches 0.8-0.5. The paper introduces some actual data of the system measured in various districts in Japan.
