Summary

THIS STUDY PRESENTS A POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENT OF THE COP OF THE ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP WITH THE USE OF A DUAL-EFFECT SEPARATOR. THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE THE OPERATING PRINCIPLE AND DEVELOP THE SIMULATION OF THE SYSTEM ; THE SELECTED SOLUTE-SOLVENT COMBINATION IS THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE COUPLE. ACCORDING TO OPERATING CONDITIONS, THE COP RANGES BETWEEN 1.95 AND 2.12, IE AN IMPROVEMENT OF ABOUT 15 TO 21% COMPARED TO THE CONVENTIONAL ABSORPTION CYCLE.
