Dynamic ice: low-cost alternative for new construction.
Author(s) : NELSON K. P.
Summary
The characteristics of dynamic ice versus static ice and chilled water storage are discussed. Types of facilities are shown with cost estimates. A simulation analysis of central chilled water plants is presented showing how plant characteristics affect the cost of adding chillers or ice thermal storage to increase the capacity of the central plant.
