Summary

Based on the component models of the refrigerator-freezer (RF) described in Part I (see this Bulletin, reference 2005-0182), the algorithm for the system simulation of a natural convection bypass two-circuit cycle refrigerator-freezer is further put forward, and the system simulation is initially done in this part. Then, the system model is validated by experiments carried out on a Haier BCD-188F RF charged with R600a. Tests show that simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental data, which leads to the conclusion that the simulation model can be used to analyse dynamic characteristics of bypass two-circuit cycle refrigerator-freezers and to optimize the units. After the validation, improvement of BCD-188F is done with the help of a simulation programme, and an improved prototype of BCD-188F is made. Tests on the prototype show that it is qualified and reaches the expected goal.
