Dynamic simulation of a simple zeolite-water adsorption cooling device.

Author(s) : CERKVENIK B., POREDOS A.

Summary

The paper presents a dynamic simulation method of a simple adsorption cooling device with one adsorber-reactor and without external heat exchange. A working pair zeolite (adsorbent)-water (adsorbate) is used. Operation of the adsorption cooling device is described with a set of differential equations. Adsorption speed is given as well as diffusion speed of the adsorbate into the pellets of the adsorbent. Dynamic simulation results are analysed and compared. The influence of regeneration temperature on cooling COP and cycle time is shown.
