Summary
The single-double-effect absorption chiller can use dual heat sources (solar energy and gas) at the same time when the cooling capacity is high or insufficient the hot water from solar energy. Utilisation of solar energy makes the high performance of this system. However, solar energy fluctuates by weather conditions. Thus it is especially noteworthy that this system should achieve the highest operation performance by proper controls in limited operation constraints even though the solar energy varies. Therefore, this paper discusses the effect of hot water from solar energy on the high operation performance of this system. In the result, the operation point to get the highest performance are found by varying the amount of solar energy. This operation point can increase 12.6% of
the operation performance compared to the actual field operation performance.
