Summary
Supplementation of modified (University of Wisconsin) UW solution with a specific thromboxane A2 inhibitor (OKY-046) for 46 hour cold storage improved function of the isolated liver during normothermic reperfusion; portal resistance was normalized, bile flow was increased and alanine amino transferase, aspartate amino transferase and lactate dehydrogenase release was reduced though not to the values in controls.
