Summary

Isolated hepatocytes are known to be a promising model for solving a number of problems of cell biology. However, usage of isolated liver cells is limited by the absence of sufficient hepatocyte stock of adequate quality. Banking of the cells may be accomplished by storage at low temperatures. The purpose of this work is to develop a simple non-enzymatic method of isolation of rat hepatocytes and their biochemical estimation after long-term storage at 4 deg C.
