Effect of temperature and basket material on the market life of strawberries.

Summary
The paper studies the effect of different types of packaging material, their design, with or without a plastic film and the time delay between harvest and cooling to 2 deg C on fruit preservation. Short time delays between harvest and cooling prevent losses; the type of packaging material has no influence on losses and baskets covered with plastic film reduce them.
